The community you’ll be caring for: 

·         AdventHealth East Orlando has been serving East Orlando residents since 1941 as an innovative local leader that fills a vital need in a fast-growing area.

·         A recent 200,000 square-foot expansion project upgraded the hospital to 295 beds, with a spacious patient tower and 80 new private rooms designed to enhance the holistic care experience to approximately 15,000 inpatients each year.

 

The role you’ll contribute:

The RIO Tech II works under the direct supervision of the Professional Nurse, assisting in performing specific duties to provide quality patient care. Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all rules and regulations of all applicable local, state and federal agencies and accrediting bodies. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Develops and implements procedure database for all robotic procedures. Develops and maintains Doctor Demonstrates, through behavior, Florida Hospital’s core values of Integrity, Compassion, Balance, Excellence, Stewardship, and Teamwork.
• Intakes pre-op patients. Properly identifies patients and applies ID and allergy bands. Obtains vital signs, height, weight, and allergy list. Assists patient to assigned bed. Orients patient to assigned bed area.
• Assists in the preparation of charts and makes rounds on nursing units to obtain empty charts.
• Assists HUC with clerical functions as requested.
• Transports patients to and from other departments and to discharge area.
• Assist with answering call lights, answering telephone calls, and keeps supplies stocked as needed.
• Assist nurses with patient care as requested.
• Performs lab draws and EKG as needed.
• Supports the customer and employee satisfaction activities of the organization. Maintains good relationships with physicians, management, other departments, and staff.

*Terms: 12 month Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Sign-on Eligibility:

·     Applicable experience required.

·     Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible. 

Relocation Eligibility:

·     Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of nursing
• Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Life Support Certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) per specialty/unit requirements
• EKG

Preferred qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Professional Certification
• Operating Room Experience
• Completed Periop 101
