The role you’ll contribute:
The Team Leader – Pre-Surgery Holding adheres to and follows the goals, philosophy, standards and guidelines of Texas Health Huguley. The Team Leader is a specialized health care professional who reports to the Director and provides leadership to the unit assigned by supervising the coordination the care and services for the patients on the unit for their assigned shift. The Team Leader will lead their staff on the delivery of safe patient care, quality strategies, throughput initiatives, patient satisfaction and employee satisfaction. In collaboration with their Director, the Team Leader will conduct performance evaluations of their assigned staff, participate in peer interviews of potential new hires for their team, and will make suggestions to their Director of any staff recognitions and/or disciplinary actions.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Unit Productivity Performance:
oActs as the charge nurse/nurse leader of the unit for each regular shift assigned.
oCoordinates unit staffing for shift as described by staffing grid. Prevents overstaffing and over-shift overtime. Justifies on charge nurse staffing sheet any variance to staffing per grid for assigned shift.
·Human Resources:
oParticipates in peer interviews for potential new staff.
oIn collaboration with Director, conducts performance evaluations of staff assigned.
·Staff Education:
oContributes to the professional development of self, peers, colleagues and others by facilitating a positive orientation experience for our new employees through role modeling and the demonstration of our team-oriented environment.
oActs as a super-user on the unit and assists staff with various computer application uses.
·Other Responsibilities:
oAssesses, develops, implements and evaluates a comprehensive plan of care through a multidisciplinary care team process in conjunction with the patient/family in internal and external settings.
oComprehensively assesses patients' goals as well as their biophysical, psychosocial, environmental and discharge planning needs and financial status.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Experience as ENDO RN.
·Nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
· Current licensure to practice Nursing in state of Texas or in a qualifying compact State.
·Certified in Basic Life Support.
·Certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.
