JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a Manager, Clinician Contract Services to manage and coordinate overall administrative direction of the DHIP Clinician Contracting team. Day to day supporting the contract team and operations of Duke Health Integrated Practice (DHIP) while analyzing current contracting and business development operations, identifying opportunities for improvement, and managing solutions.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage team of program managers (contract drafters) and oversee contract operations for DHIP, supporting all contracting workflows. Monitor trends and assist in improvement of services by analyzing operating procedures; recommend cost effective and efficient solutions. Plan and schedule work for the group ensuring proper distribution of assignments and adequate manning, space and facilities for subsequent performance of duties.
Prepare operational reports and analyses for leadership setting forth progress, adverse trends and appropriate recommendations or conclusions, predicting likely future trends to inform business development, facility, and technology planning. Assist DUHS entities and staff in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data and information to various parties both internal and external to DUHS.
Support organization's efforts to maintain compliance with regulations and legal standards. Monitor compliance through formal and informal processes and partnership with relevant legal teams.
Take corrective action in situations requiring immediate intervention, including interpretation of policy, work rules and quality issues. Investigate escalations from customers and implement appropriate course of action.
Provides leadership support to Clinical Departments and community practices on issues regarding contract and compensation management in partnership leadership as appropriate.
Manages the design and implementation of databases and electronic files in an organized manner. Identify barriers and opportunities in the contracting and business development process and develops process improvement solutions.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university required.
Minimum of 5 years work experience, including experience with significant responsibility for performance/ process improvement. A Masters degree can substitute for two years of experience.
Responsibilities may include varying levels of strategic planning; human and fiscal resource management.
Familiarity with physician compensation planning and incentive structures.
Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, SmartSheet, OneNote, and Survey Monkey.
Expert document redline experience required. Familiarity with Contract Management software platforms is also desirable, but not required.
Valid driver's license required and means of transportation.
Demonstrable ability to perform analysis of data and recommend opportunities for improvement.
Ability to manage numerous diverse projects simultaneously through effective priority setting, efficient use of time, well organization.
Experience managing people, either directly or indirectly.
JOB HOURS
The schedule for this position is day shifts, Monday-Friday, with no weekends or holidays.
