Are you a compassionate and dedicated pediatrician with a passion for helping children? Do you want to make a real impact in the lives of vulnerable children entering the foster care system while maintaining a flexible schedule? If so, then we have the perfect opportunity for you! The Audrey Hepburn Children's House (AHCH) is seeking a Part-Time CHEC Physical Examiner to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of children in need.
In this role, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive CHEC (Child Health Evaluation and Care) physical examinations on children entering foster care.
- Collaborate with our Psychology team to provide a holistic assessment of each child's physical and mental health needs.
- Work closely with social workers and other professionals to ensure children receive the necessary care and support.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest child health and welfare regulations and best practices.
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds an MD/DO degree.
- Has completed an ACGME accredited pediatric residency.
- Is a board-certified or board-eligible pediatrician.
- Has a strong understanding of child development and health issues.
- Is compassionate and patient with children, especially those who have experienced trauma.
- Is a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Is organized and detail-oriented.
