This position is responsible for supporting all public relations efforts of the organization to maintain a positive image of the brand. Works with service line leaders; communications and public relations supervisor; and marketing consultants to ensure social media and media efforts support corporate and service line goals and maximize brand exposure. Supports proactive and reactive media relations efforts as well as assists in enterprisewide events on campus and in the community. Responsible for tracking competive analysis for social media market and suggesting refinement as needed, and making recommendations for tactics to further develop and enhance the organization’s social media program and promote its overall growth. Uses comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms to optimize content for maximum public engagement. Responsible for overall coordination of internal and external publications for the integrated delivery system (IDS) including story lists, production timelines, editing and distribution. This role will monitor the day-to-day coordination of social media efforts for the enterprise and work directly with department colleagues, clients, and interns to achieve goals. This individual will also provide support of written collateral including fact sheets, bios, press releases, press kits, artlcles and other content; cooridnate photos and video shoots; and assist with other marketing communications tasks as assigned. This position will support the organization’s crisis communications response efforts.

• Proven working experience in social media marketing or as a social media coordinator
• Must have experience in content creation and development for social media, press release writing, feature and blog writing
• Must be prolific in interviewing and story development research methods.
• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of various social media platforms and how to optimize content for maximum engagement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and critical thinking skills.
• Must have knowledge of public and community relations strategies and tactics. 
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact and work effectively with media, the public and other audiences.
• Must possess ability to organize, plan daily activities and demonstrate initiative with minimal supervision and to complete projects under pressure of deadlines.
• Must be able to handle numerous tasks simultaneously.
• Must have understanding of the local, regional and national media markets.
• Must have an understanding of social media and online media outlets.
• Must be knowledgeable of social media analytics tools, best practices, and keep up with trends.
• Ability to help mentor interns and train staff to responsibly and effectively use social media platforms and tools.
• Must have or agree to acquire basic publication production skills.
• Must develop and maintain relationships with government, media and community leaders.

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, journalism, communications, marketing or other related discipline.
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ public relations, corporate communications, marketing, social media or event management experience, if possible in a corporate or agency setting strongly preferred. 

Preferred:

• Previous healthcare experience.
• Digital production and design
