Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Endocrinology
Phoenix Children's Hospital Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes is seeking a full-time Endocrinology NP or PA to join our team. The Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children’s Hospital is ranked #37 in USNWR for Pediatric Endocrinology and is the largest pediatric endocrinology and diabetes program in Arizona. The pediatric diabetes program holds a Certificate of Recognition by the American Diabetes Association. We have CDEs, RDs, RNs, Mas, a Type 1 Diabetes Program Manager, a CARE obesity/Type 2 diabetes program, a PhD research director, a quality director, and a fellowship program. This job will be centered at our new, Northwest Valley Arrowhead location, our Scottsdale location and Main campus in downtown Phoenix. With its tight-knit faculty and long-term experienced staff, the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at Phoenix Children’s Hospital is devoted to helping our providers succeed. All of this makes this division welcoming and an overall warm work environment. We have 18 Endocrine physicians, 2 Endocrine NPs and 2 Endocrine PAs. We are looking to add an additional Endocrinology NP or PA. NPs or PAs without extensive Endocrine experience may apply as long as they are dedicated to learning diabetes and endocrine care under the guidance of our current Endocrine doctors and NPs. The position is a full-time position and includes nine half-day clinics per week. There is adequate time per patient and we highly value quality of care.
Requirements:
Master’s or Doctorate degree from an Accreditation Commission for Nursing (ACEN) and/or Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accredited graduate school of nursing in Pediatric Acute care, Pediatric primary care or Family Medicine OR Master’s degree from nationally accredited ARC-PA program
Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association or obtained by start date
Current State of Arizona certification as a Nurse Practitioner OR Current State of Arizona certification as a Physician Assistant or obtained by start date
National board certification to match area of education OR maintain certificate in National Commission on Certification for Physician Assistants (NCCPA)
