Summary:
The Ophthalmology Assistant performs vision exams, refractory testing, muscle testing, recording eyeglass prescriptions; Completes preliminary eye function testing and explaining to patients about medication and procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Performs vision exams including: refractory testing, eye muscle testing and recording eye glass prescriptions.

• Collects patient health history information.
• 
  
• Provides patient education related to medications and procedures.
• 
  
• Calibrates and maintains ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
• 
  
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certified Opthalmic Assistant (COA)

Other information:
REQUIRED: 2+ years related experience
