Provides moderately complex qualitative data collection and analysis services and research project management in support of the center for Transplant Innovation, Science, Policy Research, and Ethics at the Annette C. and Harold C. Simmons Transplant Institute. This role will serve as a liaison between transplant center operations, quality and research. The goal of this position is to support projects focused on operational, quality, and financial efficiency which can drive implementation of processes that improve these aspects of transplantation. The ideal candidate has a Master?s degree in Social Science with demonstrated experience with qualitative research, project management and medical writing/medical literature reviews.
The Research Analyst II position provides research help for medical and/or academic scholars. This position will drive at least one project that requires the analyst to collect and examine data, create reports, graphics, maps, and/or plan and run presentations, as well as new staff training and education. May conduct initial and/or on-going assessments, drive development of data collection and/or maintenance of databases. This position also requires proven project management skills and the ability to work autonomously and/or as part of a team. This position requires the ability to read and know medical, scientific, statistical and/or business or management terminology and to make causal and conceptual links to related topics.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE
Serve as head research analyst on at least one research project.
Designs and drives initiatives to maintain the clinical relevance and accuracy of the helping software, as well as designs and drives routine audits and reviews to ensure accuracy of the research data.
May create innovative design approaches and maintain standardized data collection forms, applications and/or documents using various system application software and web-based software as required by specific projects.
May establish collective relationships with various Research Sponsors, Primary Investigators and Baylor Scott & White.
Health personnel to fulfill research and quality requirements, complete grant applications and manuscript submissions.
May conduct searches of medical, business and academic databases for scholarly articles and information and summarizes results of searches.
May acquire and distribute information as needed in a variety of print and electronic formats to help specific healthcare research and/or quality improvement projects.
May complete standardized forms, applications and/or documents using various system application software and web-based software.
May provide writing and editorial help and produce final text for grant submissions and research publications. May produce and update charts, graphs and/or tables using Excel, PowerPoint and other software applications.
Manages multiple daily, weekly and monthly tasks, adhering to deadlines and maintaining sufficient flexibility to accommodate assignments.
