M Physicians is the premier multi-specialty academic physician practice established at the University of Minnesota and dedicated to serving the upper Midwest and beyond. From our approach to the application of medical discoveries to our top-tier quality standards and commitment to training future healthcare leaders - we are advancing medicine. As the multi-specialty group practice for the faculty of the University of Minnesota Medical School, University of Minnesota Physicians has more than 950 physicians and 1,600 health professionals, providing clinical care in over 100 specialty and sub-specialty areas.  Our mission is three-fold: delivering exceptional patient care, advancing medicine through research, and training the next generation of health professionals.

The University of Minnesota Medical School is a national research powerhouse with a legacy of medical breakthroughs. University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) serves as the integrated group practice for the University of Minnesota Medical School. Our physician faculty members have long been recognized for pioneering breakthroughs and are worldwide leaders in family medicine, regenerative medicine, transplantation, global medicine and basic science research. More than 70 percent of the doctors that practice in Minnesota were trained by University of Minnesota Physicians.

For more than 20 years, University of Minnesota Physicians, the University of Minnesota and Fairview Health Services have partnered combining academic and community medicine.
