The role you’ll contribute:
Leads the rehab therapy team (therapists, techs, volunteers, and interns) with positive influence and by example while providing direct and indirect services to populations served.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
·Provides direct patient care following the staff job description 'Principle Duties and Responsibilities' section as per license as required by facility
·Provides clinical guidance and monitors the performance of the licensed and unlicensed rehab staff
·Assists in daily workflow of rehab therapists to ensure all treatments comply with general clinical standards and requirements
·Assists in interviews, hires and orients clinical staff, completes clinical competencies with new hires and each clinical staff member prior to annual review. Completes clinical staff assessments. Approves clinical staff continuing education requests and forwards to clinical management team. Coordinates in-services by clinical staff and vendors. Actively serves as a mentor or assigns a mentor from the team to new graduates
·Engages in promoting evidence-based standards of care and lifelong learning through autonomous and collaborative participation in research, journal club/reviews, teaching/mentoring/clinical instructor, and/or clinical practice education within a peer group
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
·Basic Life Support - CPR Cert
·Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, and/or Speech Language Pathologist
·Licensed in applicable state as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist •Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
