Role Purpose
Manager Compensation assists with leading the development, implementation and administration of compensation programs, policies and procedures. The manager will oversee survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure, incentive administration, compliance activities and competitiveness of the compensation programs and salary structure.
Responsibilities
Manages the development and administration of base pay strategies, policies and programs including: job evaluation, market pricing, salary surveys, annual salary planning and salary structure.
Develops strong partnerships with the HR Business Partners, Managers and Directors in the hospitals and service organizations in order to identify and solve compensation related issues and provide consulting expertise.
Conducts research, analyzes data and identifies trends in compensation and continually reviews current practices and policies to ensure that best practices are being utilized.
Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
Partners with executive leadership, management, human resources, and client groups to manage day-to-day compensation requirements, to include job analysis and evaluation, market pricing, salary range development, development of job descriptions and career ladders, FLSA reviews, etc.
Actively seeks market intelligence and industry-specific data to: obtain in-depth understanding of the market and industry-specific compensation trends; inform and recommend solutions to ensure compensation programs are industry-aligned and best-in-class; and builds internal relationships and external networks.
Ensures compliance with compensation policy and compensation related regulations.
